Cecilio Aponte

Cecilio Aponte, a Brooklyn, NY native, is a Manager of Battery Storage Structuring and Analytics at AES Clean Energy. There, he works on building the tools necessary to value and price energy storage projects for energy customers around the U.S.

Prior to his current role, Cecilio worked on the Origination team at AES Clean Energy (formerly sPower), where he worked on sale proposals, development and contract negotiations on over 600MW of projects, including 300MW of Energy Storage projects. He has also held roles in city climate policy and greenhouse accounting at the World Resources Institute and distributed generation as a Product Analyst at SunPower.

Cecilio holds a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Energy Studies from MIT.
