Calling all Volunteers!

Love the energy industry as much as we do? Are you interested in supporting YPE NYC’s efforts? A great way to stay connected to our organization’s mission is through volunteer efforts.

We are seeking career-oriented energy professionals and students who can proactively support YPE NYC’s mission of helping professionals connect, network, and grow within the energy sector.

Some benefits of volunteering can include boosting your energy network, learning about energy topics you’re less familiar with, and helping us influence a more equitable NY energy industry. Not to mention, you’ll be working with a fun, passionate board of energy professionals who are happy to be a resource to you!

How Can I Get Involved?

Here are just a few ways you can get involved as a volunteer:

Events

  • Zoom breakout room moderator (discussion groups, trivia, etc.)

  • Zoom support (admitting attendees, presenting slides, etc.)

  • Event planning support (speaker outreach, helping implement new types of events, etc.)

Marketing

  • Blogging (writing a piece or identifying guest blog writers)

  • Marketing Outreach support (posting about events on social media, designing content, etc.)

  • Website Upkeep (adding or developing new content for our Squarespace site)

Diversity

  • 2021-2022 Mentorship Program Support (emails, research, event coordination)

  • Undergrad Student Clean Energy Career Series (emails, research, event coordination)

  • Informational interviews for YPE NYC mentees
